They hadn\u2019t released an album of new material since the putrid <i>Psycho Circus <\/i>over a decade ago. The memory of that disc, however, was blown away after just the opening track of <i>Sonic Boom<\/i>, an instant KISS classic, \u201cModern Day Delilah.\u201d More ballsy rockers follow with \u201cNever Enough,\u201d \u201cDanger Us,\u201d and \u201cI\u2019m An Animal\u201d being among the best of them. A great return to form from possibly the best KISS lineup ever.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"238\" height=\"228\">\n<p align=\"center\"><b><i><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyvault.adishjain.in\/index.php\/reviews\/together-through-life\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailyvault.adishjain.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/bobdylan_together_150.jpg\" title=\"bobdylan_together_150\" alt=\"bobdylan_together_150\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a> <br \/><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td width=\"510\" height=\"228\">\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><st1:place w:st=\"on\"><st1:city w:st=\"on\"><\/st1:city><\/st1:place><b><br \/>9.\u00a0 <i>Together Through Life<\/i> &#8211; Bob Dylan<o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p>His new Christmas album aside, Dylan has continued along his merry way this year, playing around a hundred shows and adding a new album to his catalogue. With very short notice and virtually no publicity (news that Bob had recorded a new album surprised not only his fans but his record label also), <i>Together Through Life <\/i>appeared \u2013 and, in my opinion, improved on his overlong and slightly plodding <i>Modern Times<\/i>.\u00a0 The songs here are shorter and along with Robert Hunter (from The Grateful Dead), Dylan has written some of his most direct and focused lyrics for some time. His series of acoustic gems for the Liberation label continued this year with the release of <i>Soul On West 53<sup>rd<\/sup><\/i>. This disc covers some of the greatest songs ever, recorded in a laid back and heartfelt way.\u00a0 Moss gives his all on cuts like \u201cStanding In The Shadows Of Love\u201d and \u201cGood Times\u201d all the while making hay with love songs like \u201cLet\u2019s Stay Together\u201d and \u201cWhat Becomes Of The Broken Hearted.\u201d\u00a0 Simply brilliant in every way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"238\" align=\"center\" height=\"231\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyvault.adishjain.in\/index.php\/reviews\/the-soundstage-sessions-cd-dvd\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailyvault.adishjain.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/stevienicks_soundstage_150.jpg\" title=\"stevienicks_soundstage_150\" alt=\"stevienicks_soundstage_150\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<td width=\"510\" height=\"231\">\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b>5.\u00a0 <i>The Soundstage Sessions<\/i> (DVD\/CD) &#8211; Stevie Nicks<o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b><o:p><\/o:p><\/b>The beguiling and ever-enchanting Stevie Nicks finally delivered a full live recording of her 2007 show for Soundstage this year. Nicks has never looked better and still has no trouble weaving her intricate web of seduction for her adoring fans. Showing a good deal of power on the rockers \u201cFall From Grace\u201d and \u201cEdge Of Seventeen,\u201d Nicks delivers some of her greatest songs with her crack band and is joined by Vanessa Carlton for a couple of tracks, including a superb reading of Bonnie Raitt\u2018s \u201cCircle Dance.\u201d A must-have for any Nicks fan.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailyvault.adishjain.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/roseannecash_list_150.jpg\" title=\"roseannecash_list_150\" alt=\"roseannecash_list_150\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<blockquote><p><b><br \/>4.\u00a0 <i>The List <\/i>&#8211; Roseanne Cash<o:p><\/o:p><\/b>    When Roseanne Cash was a young lass, her father Johnny gave her a list of what he considered to be the hundred greatest songs ever. Roseanne has obviously kept the list and finally decided to put it to use to record an album of songs from it. Following on from her harrowing <i>Black Cadillac<\/i> in 2006, Cash delivered a lighter and touching album of songs that she has easily made her own. Prime cuts included \u201cMiss The Mississippi And You,\u201d \u201cSea Of Heartbreak,\u201d and \u201c500 Miles.\u201d\u00a0 I am fast becoming this woman\u2019s biggest fan \u2013 one listen to this and you\u2019ll know why.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"238\" align=\"center\" height=\"226\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyvault.adishjain.in\/index.php\/reviews\/live-in-london\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dailyvault.adishjain.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/leonardcohen_london_150.jpg\" title=\"leonardcohen_london_150\" alt=\"leonardcohen_london_150\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a> <\/td>\n<td width=\"510\" height=\"226\">\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><b>3.\u00a0 <i>Live In London<\/i> &#8211; Leonard Cohen<o:p><\/o:p><\/b><\/p>\n<p><u><o:p><\/o:p><\/u>    Also released as a DVD, this sublime show was released in full earlier this year as a double-disc set. Cohen returned to the road out of necessity, but at no point on this sprawling set does he sound the least bit pedestrian or out of touch. Instead, it\u2019s a vigorous and energized man that graces this album of gems delivered in his trademark style and accompanied by a stellar band. This spectacular show, filmed during Turner\u2019s 50th Anniversary Tour this year, captures the undisputed Queen Of Rock in rare form. What\u2019s nostalgia got to do with it? Nothing at all, it seems, for this show is as heavy, soulful, sexy, and powerful as it gets.
