MUSIC: Gorillaz \/ The Fall<\/i> <\/b>\u2013 Damon Albarn \u2013- leader of Gorillaz, Blur and The Good The Bad & The Queen — decided to end his 2010 with a massive challenge: making an entire album on an iPad. Which he gave out to fan club members on Christmas for free. Which was on the heels of the top-notch 2010 release Plastic Beach<\/i>. Whether or not you love the genre-bending music of Gorillaz (Plastic Beach<\/i> is undeniably far superior to The Fall<\/i>), the work ethic of the nearly-all-star band is practically second to none. (gorillaz.com<\/a>) <\/b><\/p>\nBOOK: Tim Ferriss \/ The 4-Hour Body<\/i> <\/b>\u2013 Tim Ferriss made waves internationally with the release of The 4-Hour Work Week<\/i>, which aimed to challenge most work-related uses of the word \u201ccan\u2019t.\u201d\u00a0 Similarly, The 4-Hour Body<\/i> challenges much of what the average person knows and thinks about science and health. While not everyone may be aiming to \u201csleep 2 hours per day and feel fully rested\u201d \u2013- as the book explains \u2013- there is no harm in hearing some new ideas that can potentially make you feel better. (fourhourbody.com<\/a>)\u00a0 <\/b><\/p>\n SHOW: Blue Man Group <\/b>\u2013 While the Blue Man Group has been performing live for over 20 years, I only got to see them for the first time on the Norweigan Epic ship. A full-scale production that often simultaneously blends performance art, dramatic rock music, concert lighting, slapstick comedy, and cerebral satire, the show is universally-appealing.
