MUSIC: Dredg <\/b>\u2013 More than 15 years into their existence, California-based Dredg has not only survived since leaving major label Interscope, but they have thrived in doing so. Dredg’s fifth full-length (the interestingly-titled Chuckles And Mr. Squeezy<\/i>) is their second since going independent, as produced by the legendary Dan The Automator (Gorillaz, Deltron 3030, Handsome Boy Modeling School). \u201cBug Eyes\u201d from 2005’s Catch Without Arms<\/i> ought to be a great starting point for someone unfamiliar with Dredg, a band that tends to be simultaneously anthemic and sincere. (<\/b>dredg.com<\/b><\/a>) <\/b><\/p>\nFILM: Rock Prophecies <\/b>\u2013 You have more than likely already seen the work of Robert M. Knight, a rock-favoring professional photographer for nearly 45 years. Not only does he do all the photography for Guitar Center stores, but his images have been seen on posters for Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and Elton John, to name a few. Rock Prophecies<\/i> is a documentary about Knight, who hits a crossroads in his career, the only one he has ever had as an adult. However, along the way, he connects with stars of today and tomorrow, helping both him and the viewer reaffirm the power of music.
