Robbie Krieger\u2019s place in rock and roll history is secure. He was the guitarist for the legendary Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame band The Doors. He also co-wrote many of their most famous songs, including \u201cLight My Fire,\u201d \u201cLove Her Madly,\u201d \u201cLove Me Two Times,\u201d and \u201cTouch Me.\u201d<\/p>\n
Krieger is known as one of the best guitarists of his generation. He maintained an on-and-off relationship with fellow Doors bandmate Ray Manzarek until the latter\u2019s death. His solo career has traveled in a number of directions, including rock, jazz-fusion, and experimental.\u00a0 He has now released the eighth studio album of his career, titled In Session.<\/i><\/p>\n
Krieger has just produced the most commercial album of his career. \u00a0In Session <\/i>is also a simple album.\u00a0 It is a group of catchy songs on which he is joined by a number of guest artists including Jackson Browne, Nik Turner, Billy Sherwood, Tommy Shaw, Rod Argent, and even William Shatner, which was not as bad as it sounds.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhere We Belong\u201d with Tony Kaye, \u201cBrain Damage\u201d with Geoff Downes, and in one of the last performances of his life, \u201cAll You Need Is Love\u201d with John Wetton provide edgy partnerships for Krieger\u2019s rock and roll approach. Featuring Jackson Browne on \u201cAcross The Universe\u201d and Tommy Shaw of Styx on\u201cDon\u2019t Leave Me Know\u201d provides a lighter side to his music. <\/p>\n
The only two misses are an out of place performance of \u201cThe Little Drummer Boy\u201d and a terribly recorded live version of \u201cBack Door Man.\u201d <\/p>\n
Krieger\u2019s previous solo efforts have always been serious affairs.
