Of course, the London street punkers Booze & Glory never disappoint when it comes to their music, either, and this pandemic EP embraces all the hallmarks of punk rock that the band are known for.

The title track leads the quick listen with gang vocals as searing guitars, thundering drums and a loud, anthemic energy will have you singing along immediately. The lyrics are clearly about the past couple of years, where band sing about bringing back the late nights of rock’n’roll, the camaraderie and the good times.

“Betrayed” follows and displays razor sharp melodies and acrobatic bass lines via the swift punk rock delivery that emits a chorus you won’t soon forget, while “C’est La Vie” balances power and melody with much grit that sounds tailor made for leaping off a stage into a crowd of friendly faces.

“The Streets I Call My Own” finishes the listen, and it showcases the blistering chemistry of the rhythm section that won’t go unnoticed, nor will the gruff but tuneful vocals and mesmerizing guitar work that’s packed with sturdy riffs.

I’ve spent considerable time with Booze & Glory’s many releases in recent years, and this is their best yet. The songs surround community, unity and fun, and the precise meshing of punk rock, rock’n’roll, Oi! and street punk easily puts them on a level with legends like Rancid, Social Distortion or The Business.

This one’s available on 12” of colored wax and limited to 2000. Sure, there’s only four tracks, but I’ll confidently say that they are four of the best punk tunes you’ll hear all year.

[10180
5646
post-46476","review","type-review","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","artist-booze-glory","rating-rating-a
["GET
