If you happen to be a Shania Twain fan and vinyl fanatic, well, you’re in luck, ’cause the Queen of country pop’s 2004 Greatest Hits album is now available as a double LP with color variants to accompany its 23 tracks.

The dreamy and soft “Forever And For Always” starts the listen with Twain’s familiar voice alongside the more pop-oriented climate, which is a common theme with later tracks like the dance floor-ready “Up!” and the Dance Mix-specific smash hit “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”

Country is still certainly at the heart of Twain’s art, though, as twang enters the playful “Honey, I’m Home,” as well as the gritty, fiddle-friendly “Love Gets Me Every Time.” For the most part, however, the mix of country and pop is split pretty even, especially on melodic and smooth tracks like “”(If You’re Not In It For Love) I’m Outta Here!”.

Some guest spots land near the end, where Mark McGrath lends his pipes to the energetic club anthem “Party For Two,” and another version of the song arrives soon after, featuring Billy Currington’s vocals for the thumping country rock. “Giddy Up!” exits the listen, and wasn’t on the original release. A more recent tune for Twain, it’s right on par with today’s version of country, and illustrates that her voice is still flawless today.

I can’t say I was surprised to find out that this collection was the fastest selling of its kind by a female artist when it was released, moving 529,000 copies its first week. It would eventually sell five million. Not sure if Twain’s fanbase are concerned enough with vinyl to stack any significant numbers on top of that, but it sure is a well-done package that houses an unparalleled body of work.
